Green Construction: Living Walls
Presented by Michael Furbish (Furbish)
The desire for greener, sustainable construction has driven an increase in popularity of walls that include plantings. Michael Furbish, president and founder of a living systems design firm, will discuss the benefits of living walls in the built environment, such as indoor air quality, user productivity, and aesthetic contributions. The lecture will also address design options and construction considerations for living walls.
If you plan to attend, please click here for more information and to pre-register. Registration is also available at the door. Although we are striving to keep our regular monthly programming free, as it has been in the past, we are currently being asked to charge as outlined on the AIA website for events. We are currently working with AIA DC to eliminate this charge for our monthly meetings, and, until then, we hope that you will still be able to join us. We will continue to strive to provide interesting, engaging, and practical programming that also offers AIA CES credit.
