What is a Window Wall?
Presented by Brad Carpenter (Simpson Gumpertz & Heger)
Fenestration system manufacturers introduced the product category: window wall and the introduction of this designation brought with it some confusion, since the term can be applied to multiple types of fenestration products with a variety of performance and attachment concepts.
This presentation will provide the attendees with the knowledge required to identify and evaluate window wall systems, recommendations for optimal performance in enclosure design, and guidance for successful implementation in the construction process. It will also include an in-depth evaluation of several representative products, project specific design and construction experience, and strategies for ensuring successful project outcomes when using window wall systems.
If you plan to attend, please click here for more information and to pre-register. Registration is also available at the door. Although we are striving to keep our regular monthly programming free, as it has been in the past, we are currently being asked to charge as outlined on the AIA website for events. We are currently working with AIA DC to eliminate this charge for our monthly meetings, and, until then, we hope that you will still be able to join us. We will continue to strive to provide interesting, engaging, and practical programming that also offers AIA CES credit.
